Outstanding Web Page. I served with the 2/11 ACR 919th Engr. from Aug 67 to Aug 68 track 33 the only camouflaged track in the 11th ACR that I know of. Took a RPG7 in Feb 68 looking for anyone who remembers. Also looking for my TC SP/5 Jenson.

Ken Mattern 2/11 ACR HOW BTY 8/67 to 8/68. When I first got to dumb dumb school I heard about "K" troop being ambushed by V.C. in ARVN uniformes. I also remember "M" company being "TANK COUNTRY". I must be getting old, your Tank Co. should have been "L" CO. The wierd thing about being in the 11th CAV was staying in the field 4 or 5 months at a time. By the time we got the grass cut at base camp it was time to go again. I wish we would have had M48 A3s with diesels. I hated changing out power packs at night in the boonies. Most of all I wish we had all come home Hello to Jive, Smitty, Kerns, Pancost Baker,Thomas, Bowman, Geeslin and all.

I served with the 27th Combat Engineer Battalion as commander "C" Company stationed at Blackhorse Basecamp RVN near Xuan-Loc, July 67 - Feb 68. My company was deployed between Blackhorse and Gio Ray. We built the firebase and rock quarry at the base of Gio Ray mountain. Replaced several bridges near Soui Cat. Supported the 11th Armored Cav.

Hi Bob, Several times between 1966 and 69 I visited some of you guys. I have only good memories. I remember how you all treated me like a lady....Well most of the time..I remember how you would laugh at my jokes and loved my singing even if most of the time I had to sing without music..most of all I will remember your eyes and your bravery..you guys have always been my heroes....lots of love to this day.... most wonderful site..thanks

Bob, it's good to see you are still doing K Troop. You do a great justice to all fallen Blackhorse brothers by keeping the memories of them in our hearts. I was with K Troop in 1969 to 1970 on K-31 and K-34 K-36. My memories are good because of you. I hope to see you and all my K Troop brothers some day soon. Thanks for all memories. I was in 2nd plt. K troop Nov.68 toNov.69. Your web sight is very much appreciated. Your photo of Capt. Palma was a very moving thing for me to see. There was no man that I admired more than him. Bob, you have a wonderful web site and a fitting tribute to 11ACR. Your photos brought back many memories.
I went back to Nam in '95 and visited many of the areas shown in the photos (Quan Loi, Bien Hoa, etc) and some not (Cu Chi, Hanoi).
