Great work! 11Acr provided security for us (86th LCP). We came to Blackhorse from
Bearcat, fall of 67, cleared north and south, the rubber trees each side of the road.
Also, they were with us operation Emporia I and II and Santa Fe in that summer. Was then
transfered to the 595 LE just before Tet. You guys did your job well!

Gunner. The Blackhorse stickers you will see everywhere are from two old Blackhorse - Ft.

Happy New Year Bob & Hellen! Sorry I was "OUT-OF-THE-NET" over Christmas.
I was down with pneumonia again but this time they mad every test known to man, including
two bone marrow biopsies on my 'Old Trooper' body and found out I'm not quite ready to be
DX'd (direct exchange in Army lingo) yet! No bone cancer (via Agent Orange, etc.)
Bob, your page gets more professional every year and I sure am proud to have been in
the same unit as someone of your caliber - K Troop, 2nd Plt. 1966-67, that is!
You all
have a great year and I sure hope to see you both in Nashville in August 2002.

I am a retired E-7. I served with the 11 Armored Cav., C Troop 1/11 from Jan. 1969 to
Dec. 1970. I now have two sons who are in the Army. David has just graduated from DSS
school at Ft. Jackson, SC. Brian has just graduated AIT Ft. Knox, KY and is a tanker.
Needless to say, I am very proud of both of them. The events of 9/11 hopefully were a
wakeup call for the US. We must support and pray for all the service members that are and
may be put in harms way. I love your web site, it has really brought back some memories.
