Phil served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army in 1968 to 1969 with the 39th Signal Battalion, 44th Combat Signal Company whose home was with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment ("Blackhorse") out of Long Gaio near Xuan Loc in III Corp. Phil provided communication and signal sites for MACV Advisory team 50 and the 44th Tactical Operation Center in Cao Lahn.  Phil has contributed an interesting aerial photo of Blackhorse Base Camp along with others.
