57 Days and a "wakeup"
Dear Mom & Dad,
Greetings once again from Vietnam. I thought it was about time that I wrote. I sent you a tape a few days ago in which I asked for $50. If by chance you get this letter before my tape, I need $50 ASAP (as soon as possible). I told you that I bought a Super 8mm movie camera which set me back $84.
I received your card Dad. I'm glad that you got a new Pontiac Tempest. Perhaps I will get me one when I get home. I should be getting my orders pretty soon. Dave Mansir has got his orders so mine should be coming down in about two or three weeks. I am anxious to find out where I will be going. If I had acted sooner, I could be going to Bangkok for a tour or duty but it's too late for me to anything now. I guess that's the story of my life.
Things here are going well. I have not been out to the field in over three weeks. There is a good possibility that I will not be going out again. I am getting too short to be out in the field.
Dave is all through in the field so I guess I am too. My Mess Sargent hasn't said one way or the other so I am afraid to ask him. I have been going to the club here every night. They have a band there every night. The club here is nice.
Other than that, I haven't been doing too much. time is dragging but there is nothing I can do about that. Oh well, I will say . . . .
By for now!
Love,
BobPS. I will write again, soon.
